The Pope's Farm

A new extraordinary experience

The full day trip includes a visit to the Papal Palace, apartments and the elegant Barberini gardens, home to the ancient ruins of the emperor Domitian’s summer palace including the amphiteatre and museum showcasing the excavated statues.
This is a completely new and worthwhile way to experience the Vatican Museums, decongesting guests away from the centre of Rome and inviting them to the Roman countryside.

What a spectacular class! Cristiana was such a wonderful teacher with a great sense of humor and patience. Really enjoyed her teaching us while also lending a helping hand when it was needed. So happy we booked with InRome cooking, highly recommend.

Maurizio was a wonderful Trastevere Food Tour guide!

Maurizio was a wonderful Trastevere Food Tour guide! I appreciated him sharing local history and information in addition to the history of the food. He shared how the Trastevere neighborhood got its name and the small facts about buildings and fountains as we passed by. The food was fun and very Roman. We started with an aperitivo, tried suppli, pizza bianca, fried zucchini flower, caccio e peppe, amatriciana, and gelato. Maurizio provided fun facts about the origin of the dishes, origin of ingredients, how it’s prepared, and small tidbits such as the cheese pull of the suppli is called a “phone line.” These weren’t my favorite foods I’ve had this trip, as it was very carb and cheese heavy, but I am very happy to have tried everything and some foods surprised me. I especially liked the fried zucchini flower and the potato pizza. I wouldn’t have come across those on my own. Maurizio was kind at the end of the tour to ask how we were getting back since the tour ended in a different location than it started. He even helped call the car company for us to make sure we were good! I also got some great shots of St. Peter’s Basilica in the skyline at golden hour, it was a great time to be walking around.
