Sustainability

Our commitment to environmentally ethical conscientious cooking.

We source all our produce locally

At InRome Cooking, we use only locally sourced produce.

Whether that comes from local farmers’ markets, family-owned delicatessens, or – at our school in Castel Gandolfo – straight from the Pope’s personal farm, we seek out only the freshest, organically-grown ingredients.

So we can ensure exceptional quality, support the local economy, and reduce our carbon footprint.

We are committed to tackling food waste and single-use plastics

Nothing goes to waste at InRome Cooking.

Whatever is left at the end of the day is donated to the Community of Sant’Egidio or taken home by our chefs.

We are also committed to avoiding single-use plastics to contribute towards a more ethical, conscientious cooking experience.

We reinvest in our community

Rome has been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In order to support local businesses, and help small-scale sellers get back on their feet, we have adapted our food tours and farmers’ market visits to support our trusted partners who are most in need.

Ensuring that when you take a class or food tour with us, you are contributing where it really matters.
