Tour Description

Few words conjure up images of a decadent Italian holiday quite like “pasta.” Timeless and versatile, this world-famous dish is fit for every occasion - be it a casual Sunday lunch or elegant dinner party.  La cucina Romana (i.e. Roman cooking) has several iconic pasta dishes in its repertoire, including Carbonara, Cacio e Pepe, Amatriciana, and Gricia. We only use fresh, seasonal ingredients, taking these classic pasta dishes to the next level as they burst with flavor.  We never let our guests cook while hungry, so you’ll be welcomed with a flute of prosecco and Roman appetizers.

Learn how to craft typical Roman pasta dishes

We’ll teach you the secrets to making the ultimate plate of Roman pasta - from how to knead a silky smooth pasta dough to seasoning the perfect sauce.  First, you’ll learn how to craft fresh pasta dough from scratch by kneading together the perfect balance of flour, salt, and eggs. Roll and cut it into thin strips before starting on the sauces. Your expert chef will teach you how to make several Roman sauces, including the famous Carbonara, Amatriciana, and Cacio e Pepe - each one special in its own way, each one delicious. Dive into your ultra-Roman pasta feast with a selection of local wines, beer, and coffee, and enjoy the Roman way of life.

A wonderful Roman experience

We (group of 4 people including grandparents and teenager) took a pasta class with 3 sauces. It was very interesting but also a lot of fun. A very relaxed atmosphere and a wonderful teacher/chef in Giulio. The class is the first part and at the end we sat down and ate our plates - much more food than we needed, of course. Simply wonderful!

We took a cooking class with Alessandro today—my husband and I plus our three kids (16, 13, and 11)—and it was an absolute hit! We were joined by one other guest and spent three wonderful hours learning and cooking together in a calm, air-conditioned space (a perfect escape from the heat wave!). Alessandro was welcoming, knowledgeable, and great with both adults and kids. We made cacio e pepe, amatriciana, and homemade gelato (coffee and Nutella was the crowd favourite). Highly recommend this experience—fun, delicious, and memorable. Fingers crossed our cacio e pepe and gelato turn out just as good at home!
