With our pizza making and gelato class, you will learn to make two of Italy’s most iconic creations. We’ll let you in on the secrets to both including that age-old question: What is the difference between gelato and ice cream?

Why spend your time in Rome hunting down your perfect pizza or gelato when you can make both by yourself. We'll cook up a storm either in our 17th-century palazzo behind Piazza Navona or our brand new cooking school a stone's throw away from the Pantheon.

We'll make you feel at home by serving you local wine, prosecco, and snacks upon your arrival. Then you'll learn to make Italian gelato and pizza in an elegant, historical setting.

What you'll learn in the Pizza and Gelato Making Class

With our English-speaking Italian chef, you'll learn the techniques of kneading the all-important pizza dough, as Italians have been doing for two centuries. Just don't tell them pizza was created in Naples and not Rome! You'll soon discover that the typical Roman pizza is a bit different from the one you might taste in Naples. Our pizza has a smaller crust and is famous for being crunchy and, obviously, super tasty. We will start with the preparation of the dough which, with a little patience and a lot of love, will take some time to craft, After this, you will be able to prepare your pizza by choosing amongst a variety of fresh ingredients. Have fun choosing between deliciously salty Italian prosciutto or wonderfully fruity black olives. Decide if you want to make a simple 'bianca' pizza without sauce, or add a rich tomato sauce for a pizza 'rosso.' During the pizza and gelato cooking class, you will also learn how to prepare the perfect gelato. Gelato shops in Rome are amongst the best ones in the world and we will show you all the secrets that take this refreshing dessert to the next level. Once you go back home you'll be able to relive all the beautiful sensations you felt here in Rome while you were having a walk near the Colosseum while indulging in a fresh and sweet gelato.
