Hands-on Pasta Making Class & Tiramisù | Shared

Learn to cook like a local in this small group class that tackles the Italian classics. The generational tradition of extended mealtimes will be stretched across three fun-filled hours, culminating in a well-deserved sampling of the fruits of your labor.

This interactive class will give you the true sense of nonna’s loving kitchen, whilst taking place in either a stunning 17th Century Palazzo next to Piazza Navona or in a sleek and stylish school just a stone’s throw from the Pantheon. Led by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable English-speaking chef, our cooking masterclass is perfect for kids and adults, beginners and experts, and locals and tourists.

Jumping from starter to dessert?

The class commences with a welcome glass of prosecco and an antipasti to warm the taste buds. Then, we’ll make the seemingly strange decision to delve straight into preparing the tantalizing tirmisù. Don’t worry, we aren’t skipping our mains. Instead, we’re ensuring the tiramisù has enough time to set before you can enjoy it.

Savoiardi (ladyfingers) are gently dipped in rich coffee before being layered with dollops of delicately mixed eggs and panna (cream). Finished off with a sprinkle of cocoa, these delicious desserts are set aside to rest in time for an after-dinner energy boost. In fact, the espresso within a tiramisù is what gives it a name that translates literally as “pick me up!”

Fresh pasta paired with mouth-watering sauces

Rolling up our sleeves, here is where we channel our inner nonna. Mixing, kneading, rolling, and shaping our fresh pasta from scratch will work up a sweat but result in elegant end products. We will then combine these carefully crafted creations with the flavors of the season and locality; be it tangy cacio e pepe, creamy carbonara, or saucy amatriciana.

Enjoy a well-deserved homemade meal

The only thing left in this cooking class is to fill up on your very own Italian classics! Celebrate the accomplishment with family-friendly company, a gorgeous setting, and a selection of red or white wines and soft drinks.

Whether you’re a returning culinary maestro or a self-proclaimed novice, you’ll be sure to take the memories home with you by scanning our recipe QR code so you can channel your inner nonna anywhere, anytime.

Amazing authentic experience Such an amazing class! We did the shared Pizza & Gelato making class. This was one of our favourite things we did in Italy! We did it with our children (4&7yrs of age). We also ended up paired with another lovely family with children the same age. It was such a fun evening!
The instructor was amazing, he encouraged the kids to do everything on their own. There was so much fun & laughter. Everything was perfectly organized. The food turned out amazing. We can't wait to recreate the recipes now that we are back home! We did this on our last night in Rome and it was a perfect ending to our trip.

A Wonderful Roman Experience We (party of 4 including grandparents and teenager) took a class in pasta making with 3 sauces. It was very interesting but also very fun. A very relaxed atmosphere and a wonderful teacher/chef in Giulio. The lesson is the first part and at the end we sat and ate our dishes - much more food than we needed, of course. Just wonderful!

Superb way to end our Italian journey. I would give it a 10 if possible. Favio was an excellent teacher. His explanations were easy to follow and a good overview of the dishes. The final outcome was the best we've had after 11 days including other Italian cities. Perfect activity!
