Watch your children transform from cooking novices to seasoned chefs in front of your eyes in this 3-course Italian cooking class. Alongside our kid-friendly, English-speaking chefs, your junior cooks will learn how to prepare simple and delicious dishes that can be easily recreated at home.
At InRome Cooking we believe that the most heartwarming meals are often crafted by the smallest hands fueled by curiosity and new passion. So, your children will have a completely hands-on experience in our historic cooking school.
As soon as your children set food in our 17th-century palazzo turned cooking school, they'll be offered a homemade Italian appetizer to snack on. These nibbles will give your kids the chance to meet their chef and get to know one another so they feel right at home. Once their bellies are satisfied and they're feeling comfortable in their new environment, they'll put on their InRome Cooking aprons and head to the kitchen.
Fresh pasta is the perfect dish for little hands to make as it's surprisingly simple and very tactile. They'll have a blast kneading the dough, rolling it out, and cranking the pasta machine to make perfectly-symmetrical tagliatelle or lasagna. Our chefs can even teach them how to make different pasta shapes, like farfalle, rigatoni, fusilli, and tortellini!
Of course, our chefs will also help them make an incredible Italian pasta sauce, whether its a simple tomato and basil sauce or a more complex carbonara.
For their entrée, your little ones will be given two options: cotoletta alla Milanese or meatballs.
Cotolleta alla Milanese (or Milanese-style cutlet) is a simple-yet-delicious breaded veal cutlet fried in clarified oil. Your children will love pounding the meat and dipping it into the egg and flour mixtures. Needless to say, our chefs will take care of the frying portion for young children.
If meatballs are more up their alley, they'll love mashing all the ingredients together and forming adorable little balls. Our chefs will also teach them how to make a perfectly flavoured tomato sauce to accompany their meatballs.
Last but not least, they'll whip up an incredibly-chocolately dessert to satisfy their sweet tooth. For many kids, this is their favorite part of the class and we'll be more than happy to wrap up any leftovers for your kids to take home with them!
Once they’ve finished cooking their masterpieces, the kids will come together in the dining room to celebrate and eat all the delicious food they have prepared! They can pair their food with soft drinks as they feel proud of all their hard work and their renewed sense of confidence that they're Italy's next generation of chefs!
