Tour Description

A heady tour of the Amalfi Coast with a twist: you will see how pasta is made in Italy’s most celebrated town for artisanal pasta, Gragnano.

A private car will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a personalized tour of the Amalfi region. The UNESCO protected Amalfi coastal drive is legendary; the winding hilltop roads offer breathtaking views of the temptingly blue Mediterranean. But which town to visit? The choice is yours- there is deservedly popular Positano or the smaller towns of Minori, Maiori, Cetara and Vietri. Shop, bath in the sun and drop into a bar for a refreshing shot of limoncello.

Then onto discover another spectacle: how pasta is made. Gragnano is a Campania village celebrated worldwide for their pasta made with durum wheat. Discover how it is made: the techniques and the artisans who have been making it for years.

If you can believe, the town’s main street was positioned perfectly to capture the mountain breeze and sea air best suited to drying pasta! Italians are serious about Pasta!

With our tour you will gain insight into the secrets of making perfect pasta dough, from selecting the best ingredients, to shaping and cutting the dough with authentic bronze pasta cutting knives.

A visit to Gragnano calls for a special pasta lunch. The tour will take you to a charming restaurant to try the villages celebrated pasta.
