Culinary Experiences and Cooking Classes in Rome

We took a cooking class with Alessandro today—my husband and I plus our three kids (16, 13, and 11)—and it was an absolute hit! We were joined by one other guest and spent three wonderful hours learning and cooking together in a calm, air-conditioned space (a perfect escape from the heat wave!). Alessandro was welcoming, knowledgeable, and great with both adults and kids. We made cacio e pepe, amatriciana, and homemade gelato (coffee and Nutella was the crowd favourite). Highly recommend this experience—fun, delicious, and memorable. Fingers crossed our cacio e pepe and gelato turn out just as good at home!

Together we prepared a true Roman feast: handmade pasta stuffed with ricotta and mascarpone in a rich red sauce, perfectly seasoned meatballs (a highlight for my wife, Sandy), saltimbocca alla Romana (a personal favorite), a fresh salad topped with figs, and to finish, a decadent tiramisu. Every step was hands-on, and she balanced teaching us techniques with making the whole experience feel fun and relaxed. The food was absolutely delicious, but what really made the day special was Christiana herself—her knowledge, her patience, her humor, and the way she shared the heart of Roman cooking with us.
