Roman Holiday Food Tour

This holiday season we invite you to join us on a festive tour of Rome’s historical centre. Immerse yourself in Italian holiday traditions- this unique tour is a celebration of abundance, style, and delicious food.

Rome in December is enchanting: there are traditional pine decorations, nativity scenes and fairy lights framing grand palazzos and small trattorias. The smell of roasting chestnuts fills the streets.

As with any time of year in Italy there are specialities prepared in celebration. As part of the experience, we will visit the historic bakeries of Rome for a taste of traditional Christmas cakes, biscuits and chocolate torrone, as well as dropping by our favourite chestnut roaster for a warming snack.

If you are looking for one of a kind presents for loved ones, there is also the chance to shop in some of Rome’s finest emporiums, where you will spot artisans making beautiful Christmas ornaments.

Exploring done, it is time to escape the crisp air into a classic Roman restaurant. You will be welcomed with a plate of homemade fresh pasta and a glass of wine. Sit back and enjoy the spirit of Rome during the holidays as we conclude the tour with a soft slice of panettone, the delicious cake found of every Italians table during the holidays.

I highly recommend this workshop! the workshop was really great-chef Fabio was such a good host, very knowledgeable, patient and full of passion for the Italian cooking- we learned a lot and heard a lot of interesting stories.
After learning and practicing, we had a great meal tasting our products and drinking a lot of good wine and it was a real enjoyable experience

THE CHERRY ON TOP!!!! Truly "The Cherry on Top" part of our trip!!!! We took a Pizza and Gelato Making Class in the Heart of Rome at InRome Cooking Classes, truly an incredible experience for our family! We all learned so much, and we were with other families in the class as well and felt as if we were the only ones!

Chef Simone was so kind, funny and informative! He showed us why Romans make the pizza they make, how to make the sauce, and how to bake the pizza's in the oven. We tried our hand at Gelato too - genius! Such a great part of our trip!!!! Totally made the TOP of our list! Completely WORTH IT!!!! Such a fun experience, doing something off the beaten path, and so fun!!!! Our Pizza we made was THE BEST PIZZA we had in Rome!!!! Thin, crispy, enough sauce, basil, mozzarella, perfection!

The Gelato was out of this world too!!!! Rich and creamy! So fun to work with others, and with our family making something to eat and share! If you are looking for a unique experience to give you true credibility with your group, family and/or friends - this is truly a HOME RUN EXPERIENCE!!!! This will be a story of yours told for years to come!!!

Try to get Chef Simone, you would be so happy you did!!!!! He's great with kids, adults, those who can't stir, and those who think they can! LOL!!!! Super fun!!!! Enjoy yourself and have fun!!!! When in Rome .

Fantastic Fabio… serata brillante Whole evening was fantastic. Fabio the chef was a great guy, funny and helpful. Got more than the moneys worth. Learnt techniques and how to understand the process rather than just follow a recipe. We were in a small group of 4 and chatting with the other people and having a sit down meal was great. We would highly recommend!!
