When we were dropped off at the Coliseum we were greeted by our tour guide, Marina. She was amazing! She led us around the underground, explaining all the areas and giving us details of the life of a gladiator. We then toured the upper portion of the Coliseum. She knew all the places to take great photos where there weren’t a lot of people. We then went to the Forum and learned even more about life in Ancient Rome. She then took us to a wonderful little restaurant for lunch, off the beaten path so not many tourists. Our driver then picked us up and took us to the Vatican where we toured the museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basillica. Again Marina was amazing! Unbeknownst to the rest of us, one of the people in our group tried to stump her with questions and she always knew the answer. At the end of the day the driver picked us up and took us back to the hotel. Amazing day!! read less
